Zachary Rich
Artist | Professional | Film & Animation
United States
I'm currently a student at the Savannah College of Art & Design. My major is Animation and my minor is Storyboarding.

Aside from being a student, I'm also currently the head of Skynamic Studios, a small coalition of independent contractors who outsource their talents to other studios and clients. This coalition is currently working on a pilot for a cartoon series called "True Tail".

Originally, my main focus for DeviantArt was my experiments with Adobe Flash using characters from the popular television series My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. These experiments were divided into two parts, the first being illustrative/background training through my storybook: The Ballad of Mecha Pinkie Pie. The second being short animations featuring different characters from the show to teach me puppet animation. I created two animations, one purely by myself called Present Prank, and another, more popular one that I gathered a crew for and directed, called Double Rainboom.

I have a question for you: How seriously do you do your animation? Very Seriously or not all the time? I just wanna know.
FlamingoRich Feb 18, 2014  Professional Filmographer
How seriously? As in how much of my life do I devote to it, or my attitude while doing it? I'll answer both questions! :la: I devote pretty much every second of my day towards my animation studio and my career, but my attitude is jovial. While true that I'm serious about succeeding in my craft, I realize that at the end of the day I'm creating cartoons for kids, and if I'm not a kid at heart and I'm not having fun then why am I doing this? ^^
